Product Care
Taking care of a natural fur coat requires special attention to maintain its quality and appearance. Here are some tips to help you preserve the beauty and longevity of your fur.
STORAGE
Cool and dry environment: store your fur in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources such as radiators or fireplaces, that can dry out the leather and cause the colors to fade.
Adequate space: avoid crushing the fur among other garments. Use a wide, padded hanger to maintain the shoulder shape and allow enough space for air to circulate.
Protective cover: when storing the fur, use a breathable cotton garment bag (not plastic) to allow air to flow through while still protecting it from dust.
CLEANING
Avoid DIY cleaning: fur should be cleaned only by a professional. Do not attempt to wash fur in a washing machine or use household cleaners, as this could permanently damage the coat.
Dust removal: if there is surface dust or dirt, gently shake the fur or brush it lightly with a soft-bristled brush, using only gentle strokes.
Drying: if your fur gets wet from rain or snow, shake off the excess water and let it dry naturally at room temperature, away from any heat sources. Never use a hair dryer or dryer.
AVOID CHEMICALS
Perfumes and hairspray: avoid spraying perfumes, hairsprays, or deodorants directly on the fur, as these products contain alcohol that can dry out the leather and damage it.
REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE
Stitching or damage: if you notice any loose stitching or tearing in the leather, take your fur to a professional furrier for repairs. Delaying repairs could lead to more serious damage.
PERIODIC VENTILATION
Air it out: it's important to let the fur "breathe" occasionally. Place it in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, for a day or two if it's been stored for a long time.
